Create your account

Frequently asked questions

Does my customer need to know it's crypto?

No. For your customer, it's a regular Pix payment — they open their banking app, scan the QR code, and pay. Nothing about cryptocurrency appears on their screen. The conversion to DePix happens automatically on the platform.

What is BTCPay Server?

BTCPay Server is an open-source payment system for online sellers. It lets you accept cryptocurrency payments without relying on any third-party company. Our plugin connects BTCPay to the DePix App API, adding Pix as a payment method in your store's checkout.

How is the order status updated in BTCPay?

As soon as the payment is confirmed, the DePix App API sends a webhook to your BTCPay Server with the checkout.completed event. The plugin processes the event and marks the order as paid automatically. No manual verification needed.

Can I test before going live?

Yes. When you create a "test" API key (sk_test_...), all checkouts created are in test mode. You can simulate a payment via the API without moving real money. When you're satisfied, switch to a live key. See the sandbox documentation for details.
